More than 14,000 students registered for this year’s Imagine Cup competition across the United States. Over the weekend, 80 of those students participated in the U.S. finals, showing how technology can make a difference in solving some of the world’s most difficult challenges. Two grand prize winners from the U.S. competition will now advance to the worldwide finals in Poland in July.

Conservation and behavior change alone will not get us to the dramatically lower levels of CO2 emissions needed to make a real difference. We also need to focus on developing innovative technologies that produce energy without generating any CO2 emissions at all.
