Join the Conversation with Bill
Bill’s 2012 annual letter drew a huge response from readers, many with important questions and comments on the challenges discussed in it. To continue and expand the conversation, Bill will take questions from people around the world and answer them live, online.
I want to invite you to join me this week for a conversation on poverty, development and other topics discussed in my 2012 annual letter. This is a chance for you to pose questions to me and exchange ideas with other people around the world who are concerned about the big problems of our time.
It’s all happening this Thursday, February 2. Beginning at 2:15pm PST (that’s 10:15pm GMT). I’ll be taking questions online and answering them via a live video feed at Facebook.com/billgates and Livestream.com/billgates. You can watch and chat with other participants online. You can also follow the conversation on Twitter via #askbillg.
Already, my annual letter has generated a tremendous response. It’s sparked a lot of interesting questions and conversations about important global issues. I’ve been really moved by seeing that so many people care so deeply about finding solutions. Not everybody agrees all the time, of course, but the questions that are getting raised and the perspectives being shared are just incredibly important.
I hope you’ll join us on Thursday, and keep the conversation going in the days and weeks to come. Everyone has a stake in the decisions that will shape our collective future. I hope you’ll get involved and share your ideas.
